We are delighted to announce that we have been successful in our application to the P.H. Holt Foundation for a grant for a Live Music Project to take place in The Beeches!

The 10-week music project at The Beeches, will involve two professional musicians visiting each week to provide interactive music sessions to benefit both residents, staff and resident’s families.

The project will provide a host of benefits to residents and families (who have lost time together due to the pandemic) as well as up skiling our staff, who will be able to use the knowledge gained during the project, into the future.

Taking part in music activities supports mood and engagement. It gives residents a new language to communicate in, a new way of connecting with their peers and carers, and increases feelings of  learning, development and a re-found confidence.

Our staff will be provided with new skills and a renewed confidence to integrate music into their day-to-day care toolkit.

We are excited to team up with Live Music Now for this project who believe that music is an essential part of the human experience. Live Music Now works within care settings, to bring the enjoyment, excitement and benefits of live music back into peoples’ lives.

We hope the music project will begin in early Spring.
