  • To Sarah and all the staff at James Page, on behalf of Mum and all the family we would like to genuinely ‘thank you’ so much for looking after our Dad for the past 10 days. All the staff have been so very caring and helpful and made us all feel so welcome. Most of all we are grateful that Dad was safe in  your hands, thus allowing us all to enjoy our holidays with the peace of mind that he was being well looked after.  We will always have such fond memories of James Page House and its wonderful staff. Thanks you once again.

  • It is hard to put into words how thankful we are. You have changed our lives. Thank you for making this a home from home for our mum. You are truly wonderful.

  • We had viewed a number of nursing homes prior to choosing James Page for our Father who was diagnosed End of Life. He has complex health needs. We chose homes to visit after researching ‘customer’ feedback and CQC reports. Some deemed ‘outstanding’ felt ‘artificial’, overly trying to sell themselves. An unannounced visit and tour of James Page House left me feeling confident and assured that our Dad would be well cared for and his needs met in a warm, friendly, homely environment. As a practicing clinician and NHS employee I was instantly impressed by how clean, odour free and well organised all areas were kept. Equipment clean and well maintained.

Staff have clearly defined roles and appear happy. Over the past few months with the ongoing challenges of Covid it’s been really reassuring that the staff have consistently ran a ‘tight ship’ protecting residents. Keeping my sister and me informed of any changes and giving us reassurance and confidence in my Dads care. I visit Dad daily as his named essential carer. I have witnessed no end of compassionate care.

Staff showing genuine warmth and appropriate affection towards the residents. His room is always immaculate, bed linen changed daily. His clothes are always freshly laundered. He looks comfortable, is well fed and hydrated. Looks well turned out and smells of Dad again ( but a bit fresher)!! Staff engage with him with respect and good humour. His medications are on time and appropriately reviewed. We are kept fully informed of any changes and are present during appointments with other HCP’s.

The Manager Sarah Blevin leads by example. She is an absolute professional. Her staff and the home are a credit to her. The staff at James Page have enabled my sister and me to go from being Dad’s carers to being his daughters again. We can relax and enjoy our time left with him. Dad is doing well. He is happy and thriving.

  • My mum came to James Page in Jan 2021. It was such a hard decision to put mum into nursing care however, the staff helped me enormously. Their care to my mum is amazing. It does not matter what time I call to see her she is always clean, dressed appropriately and happy with the staff. I can tell that they genuinely care about her and take on all her needs. The staff are always on hand to talk to me and know how mum is when I ring. I really cannot thank them enough for the care and love they show mum but also to me.

    - Shelagh Williamson Daughter of a resident at James Page House

  • It’s 1 year today since mum was discharged from Aintree Hospital to James Page House.

    So…

thanks for taking care of her so well this last year. She and all the family appreciate it. Trust me, I don’t say that to all the agencies that have had dealings with mum over the last year or so! She’s in the right place, and she knows it, being looked after by the right people.

Thanks to all on the JP team

    - Peter Moffatt, son of a resident at James Page House

  • Thank you seems not enough. The care and support you gave to our mum was wonderful to see. She was so happy at James Page House, settled and safe. At the end of her life you continued to advocate for her to ensure she passed away peacefully ‘at home’.

We would especially like to shout out to Emma who prevented an unnecessary move to hospital. Sarah you should be so proud of the staff,  your leadership certainly delivers compassionate and caring practice. We are forever grateful.
