Parkhaven Are Here To Guide You Through The Process With A Simple Step By Step Approach

Step 1

What Type Of Care Is Required?

We offer a range of care options to suit your needs or the needs of your loved one. Find out more about the care services we offer (click here).

To discuss the care you need, please get in touch with our friendly team.

We can talk you through the different options available to you and if appropriate sign-post you to the local council who can offer a free care needs assessment.

Another useful resource is the ‘Which? Choosing a Care Home Guide’.

Step 2

Create a Care Plan

After the care needs assessment, you’ll be provided with a copy of the agreed care plan. This is agreed between yourself, family members, carers, health professionals and your GP, to make sure everyone’s on the same page.

Step 3

Have a Financial Assessment

You may be entitled to a contribution to your care costs and you will need to approach the local authority for a financial assessment.

They will try to determine how much you will need to contribute to your care based on your circumstances.

After the financial assessment your local council will write to you and let you know how much they will be paying towards your care.

How much they will pay will depend on the type of care you need, the area you live in and your own personal circumstances.

Step 4

Find The Right Care For You

We offer a range of services from help at home, day care services, supported accommodation and residential and nursing care. We can provide the right kind of care and support at the right time in your loved one’s life.

We understand this can be an emotionally charged time for yourself and your loved one. We’d encourage you to visit a number of care providers in order to be sure you are happy with the level of care provided, the staffing levels and the overall atmosphere and ethos of each home.

We are confident in our provision of excellence in care and the wonderful feedback we get from our clients and their families, pop in and see for yourself!

Step 5

Settle In

We will provide support and guidance to help our clients settle in. We know this can often be a challenging time as people adjust to a new way of life. We are here every step to ensure our clients are treated fairly, with dignity, respect and kindness.

We also provide support to family members and carers as you adjust to the changes. Our staff are experienced and knowledgeable and can help with any questions you may have. We work in partnership with you to create the best transition possible for your loved ones.

We continue to review the care needs of our clients to ensure they’re getting the correct level of care for them. If your financial situation changes, we can help you to contact your local council as you may be eligible for more funding.

  • I really can’t thank you enough for all your care and support to my mum. From the beginning you were all so welcoming and respectful towards my mum and myself. You have looked after her with humour, compassion and decency and for that I will be eternally grateful.

  • A huge thank you for taking care of my brother, I never take for granted that he is so well looked after at The White House. All the staff are like an extended family to us.

  • This is an amazing place, my dad came here for a year. We couldn’t fault the place and the staff were outstanding, nothing was too much trouble even to him staying for a respite break. Sadly my dad is no longer with us but the last year of his life was spent with people who understood him. Alzheimer’s is a terrible disease but letting him go to The Willows Centre kept him going. I can’t thank the Willow’s staff enough – you are all angels.

  • To Maggie and all the staff that help make The Beeches all it is. We literally feel like we have won the lottery, we are so incredibly lucky to have mum staying with you. It’s not about beautiful furnishings – as lovey as they are – that’s just the icing on the cake. It’s about the wonderful kind and caring staff who are all doing a fantastic job. For the very first time in years we don’t have a worry in the world, we know mum is being so well cared for. She is so settled and speaks volumes for the care she’s having. Thank you all so much, it’s really really appreciated, more than you’d ever know.
