Thank you for all your responses to the July/August 2022 Family Survey. The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive and we very much appreciate all your kind words regarding the care of your loved ones. This feedback is shared with all our staff.

In total we received 27 responses and below we have highlighted some of the key themes that have arisen from your feedback.

Themes coming from your responses to the survey Action we will take as a result
A better understanding of your loved one’s care plans. We have taken your comments on board and would like to invite you to speak to the service manager of each of your loved one’s homes/services, to arrange to view and discuss your loved one’s care plans.

Our staff use electronic care planning called ‘Person Centred Software’ this allows staff to keep accurate, timely and detailed information on your loved one’s medical and wellbeing needs.

Instead of staff spending time at the end of their shift writing up all the paperwork, they use handheld devises that record your loved one’s care in real-time throughout the day.

This does mean that most care plans are now digital. Please do make an appointment to spend a little time getting updated on your loved one’s care plan.

Extra diabetic training for staff Although all our staff do receive diabetic training when joining our team, we do recognise that regular updates of this training are also beneficial and are in the process of implementing a training plan for all our staff.

We are also currently in the process of changing our training provider to a leading e-learning provider with ALL courses CPD accredited and one of very few providers rated Centre of Excellence by Skills for Care.

More meal choice at The Willow Centre Staff at the Willow Centre take feedback from our service users at the day centre regarding meal choices, in order to provide a meal that is enjoyed by all.  A favourite at the Willow is ham, egg, peas and homemade chips.

We make every effort to ensure the food we provide is not only nutritionally balanced but also greatly enjoyed by your loved ones. We also provide a range of sandwiches, soups and homemade chips for lunches in this service, along with regular healthy snacks throughout the day.
