We are delighted to announce that we have once again been successful in our application to the P.H. Holt Foundation for a grant to run our Live Music Project at The Beeches and also James Page House!
The 10-week music project at will involve two professional musicians visiting each week to provide interactive music sessions to benefit both residents, staff and resident’s families.
The project will provide a host of benefits to residents and families as well as up skilling our staff, who will be able to use the knowledge gained during the project, into the future.
We know first-hand that taking part in musical activities improves mood and engagement. The project will further support our staff to integrate music into their day-to-day care toolkit.
We are excited to team up with Live Music Now once again, they strongly believe that music is an essential part of the human experience. Live Music Now works within care settings, to bring the enjoyment, excitement and benefits of live music back into peoples’ lives.
We hope the music project will begin in early Summer.
