We are heavily invested in the future of nursing care, we are proud to provide regular placements for student nurses looking to gain experience, skills and knowledge.

These placements are valued greatly by our student nurses. Below is a letter we received from a recent student nurse, training at our newest development; The Beeches.

Dear Maggie

I would firstly like to thank you, for allowing me to do my placement at Parkhaven Trust, The Beeches. All staff were extremely warm, friendly, professional and knowledgeable.

The Beeches is a place I would highly recommend to anyone that is looking for dementia nursing care. I have also informed the University of the Trust to liaise with placing fellow students there as I personally felt I gained a more in-depth insight into holistic personal centered care for people with dementia.

I was on placement for 5 weeks and I can honestly say I felt a sense of pride attending daily. The Beeches really does have a sense of community, all staff was very friendly and attentive to their duties. Staff are all highly trained and always undergoing new training.

The staff at The Beeches have a good rapport with each resident, the residents are treated respectfully, engaged in conversation to socialise with others to achieve optimal quality of life. The Beeches offers a comfortable clean environment and safe space, it is easy for residents with physical or cognitive issues to move around safely.

The Beeches promotes person centered living by adhering to the residents’/ families views and wishes and upholding dignity and respect not only to the residents but to each other.

The Beeches will be a place of employment I would  seek upon after qualifying. Again, I would briefly just like to take this opportunity to also thank all staff for taking the time to support, encourage and making me part of a team.

I hope to work alongside you in the future and keep up the amazing work and again thank you for this amazing opportunity.

King Regards
