Parkhaven Trust were happy to receive £500 from homebuilder Redrow for new therapy dolls and pets for clients.

Parkhaven Trust provides nursing and residential care at The Beeches where its residents and clients get the most out of life in a comfortable, safe and secure environment.

The donation from Redrow will enable the charity to purchase a selection of therapy dolls that will be given to residents as a way to put responsibility, caring and structure back into the lives of those affected with dementia.

Chief executive of Parkhaven Trust, Kim Crowe, says the therapy dolls offer patients multiple benefits such as relaxation and stress reduction amongst other things:

“We are delighted to have been given the donation from the team at Redrow. The dolls and pets help our clients hugely and can often bring about a sense of calm and peace. They are a really valuable resource.”

Sian Pitt, sales director at Redrow Homes (Lancashire) said: “Redrow’s engagement with the Trust started in 2017 when we bought the land for our Dover Meadows development from them. It’s great that we can now help them to support their residents and provide these hugely beneficial dolls.”
