Celebrating Tegan: Young Volunteer of the Year 2026

Everyone at Parkhaven Trust is delighted to congratulate Tegan Hankinson on being named Young Volunteer of the Year at this week’s Sefton CVS and Volunteer Sefton Awards.

This well-deserved recognition celebrates Tegan’s outstanding commitment, enthusiasm, and dedication to volunteering. Through her time with Parkhaven Trust, Tegan has made a positive impact on the lives of the people we support, bringing energy, kindness, and a willingness to help wherever needed.

Volunteers play a vital role in strengthening our communities, and Tegan’s achievement highlights the incredible contribution that young people can make. Their passion for helping others and their commitment to making a difference have been an inspiration to colleagues, those we care for and fellow volunteers alike.

The Sefton CVS and Volunteer Sefton Awards recognise individuals who go above and beyond in their volunteering roles, and we are incredibly proud to see Tegan’s hard work acknowledged in this way.

The awards ceremony, held at Bootle Town Hall, was also an opportunity to celebrate the dedication of many volunteers across the community. We were especially pleased that a number of Parkhaven Trust volunteers were presented with certificates in recognition of their hard work, commitment, and valuable contribution throughout the year. Their efforts help make a real difference every day, and it was wonderful to see them recognised alongside so many other inspiring volunteers.

On behalf of everyone at Parkhaven Trust, we would like to say a huge congratulations to Tegan on this fantastic achievement. We would also like to thank all of our volunteers for the time, care, and dedication they give so generously.

Well done, Tegan – a truly deserving Young Volunteer of the Year, and congratulations to all of our volunteers who were recognised at this special event.
