Parkhaven Trust are seeking views on their proposed new care home.

Parkhaven Trust has provided care services since 1888 on our Liverpool Road South site in Maghull. The Trust currently provide; care for people living in their own apartments at Parkhaven Court and the White House, provides a day service for people living with dementia at the Willow Centre and residential and nursing care at The Beeches for people with dementia.

In addition, the Trust also operate a care home in Deyes Lane. This building requires refurbishment in order to meet modern day care requirements and the Trust are planning to relocate this service to their Liverpool Road South site, within a new purpose built facility.

The proposed location of the new building was previously occupied by a single storey building, which was demolished in 2012, and the area left to grass. The new building will be single storey with capacity for 36 beds, associated kitchens, staff areas, communal living space and gardens.  The relocation of this service will also enable staffing and resourcing to be shared more efficiently within the Trust.

Access to the Mile Walk and Growing Plots within the grounds will not be affected by the location of the new building and Parkhaven encourage visitors to enjoy their beautiful parkland and estate. Sefton Council will consult local residents and stakeholders once the application is submitted but Parkhaven welcome comments ahead of the submission.

Parkhaven Trust hope to submit the planning application in late September / early October 2021.

Comments are welcomed by emailing care@parkhaven.org.uk and need to be received by 24 September 2021.
