We were delighted to welcome the Deyes family to the grand-opening of “Deyes Corner” on Monday 8th December.
A multi-purpose space for the use of those we care for & their families. One month it might be a Cafe, where you can get a cuppa & a delicious cake, the next it could be a shop, giving those we care for real-life experiences all from the safety of our own grounds.
The purpose of the space would be led by those we care for, a versatile and flexible approach.
Deyes Corner has been very generously donated to Parkhaven Trust, The Beeches by The Deyes Family. Peter Deyes a previous Trustee of Parkhaven Trust, now lives with us at The Beeches along with his wife Jacqueline. Their family, including many grandchildren look forward to visits to Deyes Corner in the years to come. A space we know will be enjoyed by many.
We are still looking for items to fill our new space – can you help donate any of the below…
- Chairs & small tables (bistro sets)
- Covered cake stands / display case for cakes
- Cabinet/sideboard for storage
- Chalkboard
- Cash register (an old one will do!)
