Plans are progressing well in constructing the new home for the James Page service and we are now over half way through the build programme.

Roof trusses are now in place for most of the building and roof tiles are being installed. Internal works can be started once the building is water tight.

A reminder of the plans for the new building can be found here and here.

Since the last newsletter we have started to look at what will be installed in the building, including a review of the equipment needed and the furniture and fittings. We have also agreed the actions needed to move into the new building and will be working on this in the coming weeks.

The building is due to be handed over at the end of September 2026 and construction is currently on target to achieve this date. Once the building is handed over to Parkhaven we will need to add furniture and fittings and be inspected by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) to ensure that the building is suitable for its purpose.

We are planning to open the building to service users and staff at the beginning of November 2026.
