We do not record vacancies on the web site because the situation can change on a daily basis. If we cannot help you we will put your name or your relative's name on our waiting list.
Service User Vacancy at
Westover Close
There is currently a vacancy at our Westover Close service. Westover Close is part of Parkhaven Trust; it is a purpose built bungalow that has been specifically designed to accommodate four young adults who have a profound physical and learning disability. There are four single bedrooms which all have patio doors out to the accessible garden. All rooms have TV points and plenty of space for items of personal furniture. Access to a shower room and bathroom is available to all service users who may be wheelchair users and ceiling tracking is provided to ensure safe transfers in all rooms.
At Westover Close we aim to provide the highest possible care in a homely and safe environment. The staff at Westover Close will strive to promote and maintain individual and group dignity, individuality and privacy for service users who choose to live here and are always sensitive to the person’s ever changing needs. The staff at Westover are fully trained to NVQ 2 and 3 in care and have many years of experience between them. Staffing is maintained 24 hours a day.
The home is close to all local amenities enabling individual choices, including Maghull central square, medical centre, library, and health centre.
Westover Close aims to provide the highest possible care to all who choose to reside in the home. The home is registered with the Care Quality Commission, and has been awarded an “Excellent” for the quality of service provided.

Fees
Our fees are payable every four weeks in arrears. Fees are reviewed annually and increases are subject to one month's notice in writing.
The fees cover board and lodging, including any special dietary requirements.
Extras such as hairdressing and personal telephones are not included in the fees. However, these facilities are available at a small cost.
If you need help with finance
The first point of contact should be a Social Worker, who will be able to help you find out what financial assistance you may be entitled to. If a prospective client is in hospital, the ward sister will be able to put you in touch with the correct Social Worker for your area.
General information
We request that each resident is registered with a local GP prior to coming to the Trust. We can help with this, should you wish it.
All our bedrooms are furnished, but residents are welcome to bring any reasonable item from home. We advise against bringing large items of value, but smaller articles can be stored in the office safe and bedroom locks and security boxes are provided for safety.
There is a no smoking policy in all of our homes.
