James Page Nursing Home

The James Page Nursing Home provides nursing care for 36 older people in a modern single storey building. The home has been rated as excellent by the Care Quality Commission. It has also been assessed as 5* by an independent assessor.

Our Aims

The home aims to provide the highest possible quality of personal and nursing care in a supportive, homely and safe environment.

Our Values

Every resident is valued as an individual. Residents' privacy and dignity are respected at all times. Independence is promoted by encouraging and supporting residents' choices and preferences. The views of service users and their families are important to us, we ensure they are listened to and acted upon.

What We Offer

All the bedrooms have nurse call and en-suite facilities. There is also a range of specialist equipment available to help in the care of residents. There is a choice of lounges and dining rooms and an attractive courtyard area.

A team of qualified registered nurses and care assistants (most of whom are trained to NVQ 2 or 3 level) provide support and nursing care. All staff are trained to a high standard and our nurses regularly update their training. Close links are maintained with local GPs, their care teams and the PCT.

The home has a full-time cook, whose home-cooked meals offer variety and choice. Special dietary requirements are catered for. Drinks and snacks are always available in between meals.

A range of group and individual activities are offered. A hairdresser visits the home twice a week. There is also the opportunity of visits out in our adapted minibus. Residents' religious preferences are important and local Church ministers visit the home regularly.

Visitors are always welcome and can relax in the visitors' room and make a drink for themselves and their relatives at the tea points on each wing. We actively encourage their participation and support.
