Parkhaven Trust created the Willow Centre to provide the highest standards of specialist care for people with dementia and to offer support for their families. The Centre offers a day service, respite service for up to six people and is also the base for our domiciliary service, Parkhaven@Home. Relatives can drop in for coffee and a chat in our reception area at anytime.
Our primary aim is to ensure that all service users get the most out of life in a comfortable, safe and secure environment, which includes our beautiful grounds.
The Willow Centre - Day Service
The day service is open six days a week, Monday to Saturday, including most Bank Holidays.
Whole-person plans reflect service users’ individual needs, interests and freedom of choice. The service has a high ratio of staff to service users, enabling people to pursue a range of different interests freely and safely. Our staff have specialist qualifications in care, including dementia training, and we work closely with health and social care professionals to optimise our range of services. The service provides a broad spectrum of activities for service users, including yoga, meals and visits out, cookery, gardening, hair and beauty, art and craft, aromatherapy, music and chiropody services. Home-cooked meals and snacks are available throughout the day.
The Willow Centre – Respite Service
Caring for a loved one can be all encompassing and time off for both of you is essential. Short breaks, also know as respite, allow families and carers the time to recharge their batteries with the reassurance that their loved one is in a safe, homely environment receiving the best care possible.
