Willow Centre

Parkhaven Trust created the Willow Centre to provide the highest standards of specialist care for people with dementia and to offer support for their families.

Our primary aim is to ensure that all service users get the most out of life in a comfortable, safe and secure environment, which includes our beautiful grounds. The Willow Centre is open six days a week, including most Bank Holidays.

Person-centred plans reflect service users' individual needs, interests and freedom of choice. The Willow Centre has a high ratio of staff to service users. This enables people to pursue a range of different interests freely and safely.

All of our staff members have specialised qualifications in care, including dementia training, and we work closely on an ongoing basis with health and social care professionals to optimise our range of services.

The centre provides a broad spectrum of activities for service users, including yoga, meals and visits out, cookery, gardening, hair and beauty, art and craft, aromatherapy, music and chiropody services. Home-cooked meals and snacks are available throughout the day.

Carer Support

Our monthly carers' meetings offer support and enable carers to take a break. Everyone is welcome.

Newsletter

We believe that communication is crucial between the centre and the families of those who use our service. Our monthly newsletter informs families and professionals about what is going on. We recognise that people and their families will have a lot of questions before they choose to use our services. Sometimes, it is best to visit.
