Parkhaven Court
Is a small extra care housing scheme being developed by Parkhaven Trust and Arena Housing to support people with dementia to live as independently as possible.
Extra care housing is the term for a new form of housing, gives people the chance to live in purpose built, self-contained accommodation that is supported by a 24 hour staff team, providing care and support as required. Properties are designed to offer security and accessibility for people with various levels of support needs.
The scheme is set in the beautiful grounds of Parkhaven Trust, and is close to Maghull
central square, library and leisure centre. It is well located for transport links. There are 24 ground floor flats, with 1 or 2 bedrooms. Each apartment has an open plan lounge, fully equipped kitchen/diner, and a wet room with walk-in shower. An emergency call system, will alert staff throughout the day and night. The scheme also benefits from having a communal lounge, dining area, hairdressing salon and IT suite. Residents will have access to a private, enclosed courtyard and flats will also have a small garden that can be planted.
Living in the extra care scheme will allow tenants to remain as independent as possible, in the knowledge their care plan will be tailored to meet their particular needs.
All our staff are trained to NVQ 2/3, and have ongoing training to ensure skills and
knowledge are up to date and relevant. They will be supervised by the scheme manager.
