Kyffin Taylor

Set in beautiful surroundings, Kyffin Taylor House is a residential home that offers permanent care for 29 older people with dementia. The Care Quality Commission has awarded the home the highest quality rating of 3*. The home also has an independent assessment of 5*

Our Aims

We aim to provide the highest possible quality of care for people with dementia in a homely and safe environment.

Our Values

Every resident is valued as an individual. Residents' privacy and dignity are respected at all times. Independence is promoted by encouraging and supporting residents' choices and preferences. The views of service users and their families are important to us, we ensure they are listened to and acted upon.

What We Offer

All bedrooms have en-suite facilities and are equipped to a high standard to suit all levels of ability. Kyffin Taylor has call facilities in all the bedrooms and communal areas. Residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms.

The home has a full-time cook, whose home-cooked meals offer variety and choice sourced from local produce and vegetables grown in our own garden. Special dietary requirements are catered for. Drinks and snacks are available throughout the day and night and there are tea points around the home to enable visitors to enjoy refreshments when visiting.

The home is staffed 24 hours a day by well-trained staff, who have a good understanding of older people's needs and in particular those who have dementia.

The home offers a variety of daily activities. A hairdresser attends weekly and a private chiropodist will visit on request. All residents have their own GP and the home has a good working relationship with other outside agencies. Residents' religious preferences are important and local Church ministers visit the home regularly.

Visitors are always welcome. We actively encourage their participation and support.
