Frequently asked questions and General information

Service Vacancies
We do not record vacancies on the web site because the situation can change on a daily basis. Therefore if you want to know whether there are any vacancies please phone our Trust administrator on 0151 526 4133. If we cannot help you we will put your name or your relative's name on our waiting list.

Waiting List policy

Because of the popularity of our homes for older people, the Trust developed a waiting list policy. Those potential residents who are already known to us through using other of our services will be afforded the highest priority, those with a close relative in the home and those who live locally will also be afforded priority.

Fees
Our fees for our residential care services are collected by direct debit every four weeks in arrears. Fees are reviewed annually and increases are subject to one month's notice in writing. The fees cover board and lodging, including any special dietary requirements. Extras such as hairdressing and personal telephones are not included in the fees. However, these facilities are available at a small cost. Fees for all our support services are paid four weeks in arrears. They are reviewed annually. Four weeks notice (in writing) will be given of any increase.

Help with finance

The first point of contact should be a Social Worker, who will be able to help you find out what financial assistance you may be entitled to. If a prospective client is in hospital, the ward sister will be able to put you in touch with the correct Social Worker for your area.

Our no smoking policy
There is a strict no smoking policy in all of our homes and services. This also applies to our grounds.

How to make a complaint
Each service should have easily accessible guidance on how to make a complaint. We hope that you do not have cause to make a complaint but if you do, then it will be taken very seriously, investigated and if necessary remedial action will be taken. If there is a concern, it is often advisable to have an early conversation with the manager of the service to see if the matter can be resolved.

How to contact us
If you need further help please contact our Trust administrator, who will do all she can to help you on 0151 526 4133 from 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday or email care@parkhaven.org.uk.
