Welcome to the Parkhaven Trust website. Parkhaven Trust is a registered charity based in Maghull, North Liverpool. It provides a wide range of services to support people with dementia, older people and people with learning and physical disabilities. We hope that our website will tell you all that you need to know about our organisation, whether you are looking for a particular service for yourself or a relative or whether you are thinking of applying to come and work with us. Our website contains information about our current services, job opportunities and our governance. We hope you find the site interesting and informative!
Parkhaven Trust was established in 1888. It was set up to provide a service for people with epilepsy and was originally known as the Maghull Homes for Epileptics. It then became the Maghull Homes and in February, 1998 it changed its name to Parkhaven Trust. Now Parkhaven Trust has three large residential homes including one nursing home, the James Page Nursing Home. We also have a range of services for people living with dementia, including a day centre, respite facilities and a domiciliary service to enable individuals to remain in their own homes for as long as possible.
The Trust aims to be an organisation that includes, supports, respects and empowers residents, service users and staff. We do this by treating all people who use our services with dignity and respect whilst promoting independence, choice and individuality. We accord a high priority to supporting and developing the skills of our staff and encouraging links with our local community.
The good things we aim for
- To provide choice
- To provide dignity
- To provide fulfilment
